LPG e-KYC Mandatory for All Domestic Consumers Amid Supply Crunch: Check Steps

•Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas mandates e-KYC for all domestic LPG consumers by March 10, 2026.
•The move comes due to LPG cylinder shortages caused by the West Asia conflict and global fuel supply disruptions.
•e-KYC is free, simple, and can be completed via smartphone using oil company apps (Indane, Bharat Gas, HP Gas) and Aadhaar FaceRD.
•Domestic LPG is now a priority for domestically produced natural gas, as per a March 9 gazette notification.
•Government has ordered refineries to increase LPG production for domestic use and formed a committee to address supply issues.
