BJP Unveils First Rajya Sabha List for 2026 Polls; Nitin Nabin Nominated from Bihar

BJP released its first list of 9 candidates across 6 states for the Rajya Sabha biennial elections 2026.
•
Party national president Nitin Nabin nominated from Bihar; Shivesh Kumar also from Bihar.
•
Other nominees include Terash Gowalla, Jogen Mohan (Assam), Laxmi Verma (Chhattisgarh), Sanjay Bhatia (Haryana), Manmohan Samal, Sujeet Kumar (Odisha), and Rahul Sinha (West Bengal).
•
Polling is set for March 16, with counting on the same day; nominations close March 5.
•
37 seats across 10 states will be contested; AITC and BJD also announced candidates.
