Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: LDF Unveils Candidate Lists for CPI(M), CPI
•The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has announced its candidates for the Kerala Assembly elections 2026, combining experienced leaders with new faces under its ‘Nava Keralam’ vision.
•The CPI(M) declared 86 candidates, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, 11 ministers, and 54 sitting MLAs.
•The CPI released a list of 25 nominees, featuring five women and one independent candidate, with State Secretary Binoy Viswam making the announcement.
•Polling in Kerala is scheduled for April 9, with counting on May 4, for over 2.7 crore voters across 140 constituencies.
•Six independent nominees are part of the LDF alliance, and candidates for five constituencies (Koduvally, Kottakkal, Kondotti, Tirur, Palakkad) are yet to be announced.
