Namo Bharat: Delhi-Meerut in 50 Mins on India's First Fully Operational RRTS
•The Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor is now fully operational, reducing travel time between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram to under 50 minutes.
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the final leg on Sunday, February 22, completing India's first fully functional 82 km Regional Rapid Transit System.
•The system offers high-speed (up to 160 km/h), safe, and comfortable intercity commuting, enhancing regional connectivity and reducing congestion.
•Stations feature baggage scanners, electronic fare gates, and screen doors, while coaches are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with amenities like charging ports.
•The system integrates digital tools for real-time information and ticketing, and in Meerut, metro services will share the same infrastructure for seamless travel.
