Exide Industries Infuses ₹100 Crore into EESL, Total Investment Hits ₹4,352 Crore
•Exide Industries invested ₹100 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions Ltd (EESL), by subscribing to equity shares on a rights basis.
•This investment brings Exide Industries' total investment in EESL to ₹4,352.23 crore, maintaining 100% shareholding.
•EESL, incorporated in 2022, specializes in lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs for EVs and stationary applications.
•The funds will finance EESL's greenfield plant in Bengaluru for lithium-ion battery component production.
•Exide Industries reported a 4.9% rise in Q3 net profit to ₹257 crore and a 4.7% revenue increase to ₹4,029 crore.
