PLI Schemes Disburse Rs 28,748 Cr, Generate 14.39 Lakh Jobs, Boost Sales to Rs 20.4 L Cr

•Government disbursed Rs 28,748 crore under Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes for 14 sectors.
•PLI schemes, launched in 2021 with an outlay of Rs 1.97 lakh crore, have approved 836 applications.
•Cumulative investment under PLI exceeds Rs 2.16 lakh crore, with sales over Rs 20.41 lakh crore and exports over Rs 8.3 lakh crore.
•The schemes have created more than 14.39 lakh jobs and significantly cut mobile phone imports by 77%.
•PLI for pharma enabled domestic manufacturing of 191 bulk drugs, while auto PLI boosted electric mobility and advanced safety systems.
