Mumbai's Widest Twin Tunnels: Goregaon-Mulund Link Road Project to Revolutionize Travel

Mumbai to get its widest underground twin tunnels as part of the 12.20 km Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project.
•
The tunnels will connect Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari (Goregaon) to Khindipada (Mulund) in the eastern suburbs.
•
Each of the parallel twin tunnels will be 4.70 km long with a diameter of 14.20 meters, featuring three lanes.
•
These tunnels will pass 13 meters deep under the hills of Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
•
Construction will use two of the largest TBM machines, with digging set to begin in June after parts assembly.
