Mumbai's Widest Twin Tunnels: Goregaon-Mulund Link Road Project to Revolutionize Travel

•Mumbai to get its widest underground twin tunnels as part of the 12.20 km Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project.
•The tunnels will connect Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari (Goregaon) to Khindipada (Mulund) in the eastern suburbs.
•Each of the parallel twin tunnels will be 4.70 km long with a diameter of 14.20 meters, featuring three lanes.
•These tunnels will pass 13 meters deep under the hills of Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
•Construction will use two of the largest TBM machines, with digging set to begin in June after parts assembly.
