Vijayawada to get 100 Electric Buses: Free Travel for Women, Pollution Control

•APSRTC introduces 100 electric buses in Vijayawada under PM eBus Seva Scheme for eco-friendly transport.
•Vidyadharapuram depot to be modernized with a 6,000 KV substation and 20 charging points for maintenance.
•Electric buses will replace old city buses, saving 7,000 liters of diesel daily and reducing air pollution.
•Pinnacle Mobility Solutions will operate buses; 250 drivers provided by them, 250 conductors by APSRTC.
•Women will receive free bus travel on these new electric buses, operating on 11 main city routes.
