Akanksha Hostel for working women inaugurated in IAS Colony, Roopaspur, Patna, with plans for similar hostels in Gayaji.

Operated under the Women and Child Development Corporation, the hostel provides safe accommodation for 50 women.

Secretary Vandana Preyasi stated it strengthens the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Yojana, promoting women's self-reliance and safety.

Hostel is for women with a maximum monthly income of 75,000 rupees, offering free accommodation (excluding 3,000 rupees/month for food).

Facilities include beds, lockers, CCTV, electricity, RO water, TV, free Wi-Fi, and two kitchens per floor; applications via official portal.
