•Traffic police will fine Rs 1000 for not wearing an ISI-marked helmet.
•Helmets must conform to Bureau of Indian Standards (ISI mark, IS 4151:2015) for quality and safety.
•Wearing helmets loosely or without fastening the strap will also lead to warnings or fines.
•Jamui SP Vishwajeet Dayal stated a continuous road safety campaign is underway, targeting minors and triple riding.
•Non-standard helmets fail to provide adequate head protection, a major reason for fatalities in road accidents.
