PNB Becomes India's Second Largest Public Sector Bank After Mega Merger

Punjab National Bank (PNB) merged with Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI).
•
The merger, effective April 1, 2020, created India's second-largest Public Sector Bank (PSB).
•
Post-merger, PNB's total business volume exceeded 18 lakh crore rupees.
•
The bank's network expanded to over 11,000 branches and more than 13,000 ATMs nationwide.
•
PNB's presence strengthened across various states, particularly in North and East India.
