Bank of Baroda Ordered to Pay Rs 3.28 Lakh for Failed ATM Transaction

•A Surat consumer court ordered Bank of Baroda to pay Rs 3.28 lakh compensation in a 9-year-old failed ATM transaction case.
•A customer attempted to withdraw Rs 10,000 from an SBI ATM in 2017; money was debited but not dispensed.
•Bank of Baroda failed to credit the money back and could not provide proof of a successful transaction.
•The court rejected the bank's defense regarding SBI's refusal of CCTV footage, stating it was the bank's duty to prove withdrawal.
•Compensation includes Rs 100 per day for 3288 days of delay, plus the principal amount of Rs 10,000 with 9% interest.
