•The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) exposed an organized gold smuggling network, seizing gold, silver, and currency worth Rs 14.13 crore.
•Six individuals involved in the network have been arrested following operations initiated at New Delhi Railway Station.
•The gang smuggled foreign-origin gold, transported it by train, melted it in illegal facilities to remove identification marks, and sold it domestically.
•Seizures include 8,286.81 grams of gold (approx. Rs 13.41 cr), 7,350.4 grams of silver (Rs 19.67 lakh), and Rs 51.74 lakh Indian currency.
•Illegal melting units were found in Delhi and Kolkata, where the alleged kingpin of the gang was arrested.
