Indian Railways' Secret Rule: Women Can Travel First AC Affordably with Attendant

Indian Railways has rules allowing women and their attendants/children to travel more comfortably and affordably.
•
A solo female passenger in First AC can have her female attendant (with a Second AC ticket) join her in First AC from 8 PM to 6 AM for safety.
•
During the day, the attendant must travel in Second AC, but can join the First AC coach at night.
•
This rule ensures safety for solo female travelers and allows attendants to benefit from First AC travel at a lower cost.
•
Women with children under 12 can travel together in a Ladies Coach, and TTEs cannot object.
