•The 'CURE' (Core Urban Region) Act will replace the 71-year-old 'Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (MCH) Act' of 1955.
•Aims to enhance coordination among GHMC, Water Board, Electricity, PCB, and grant full legal status to 'HYDRAA' for lake protection.
•Will guide coordination for the three new corporations (GHMC, CMC, MMC) and treat 2,063 sq km up to ORR as a single unit for development.
•Prioritizes environmental protection, including plastic prohibition, modern waste management, sewage treatment, and lake restoration.
•Designed for the next 50 years, focusing on digital governance, online permits, and transparent administration for faster public services.
