UP's Manikpur Nagar Panchayat Turns Waste into Wealth with New MRF Center

•Nagar Panchayat Manikpur in UP's Chitrakoot district has established a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) plant in Ailaha Badhaiya.
•The MRF Center scientifically manages wet and dry waste, with door-to-door collection using five e-rickshaws.
•Wet waste is processed into organic fertilizer, while dry waste like plastic and bottles is separated, stored, and periodically auctioned.
•This initiative generates additional income for the Nagar Panchayat, which is then invested in local development works.
•Executive Officer Bharat Singh states the MRF Center reduces filth, disease risk, and serves as a model for cleanliness and economic strength.
