UP's Manikpur Nagar Panchayat Turns Waste into Wealth with New MRF Center
•
Nagar Panchayat Manikpur in UP's Chitrakoot district has established a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) plant in Ailaha Badhaiya.
•
The MRF Center scientifically manages wet and dry waste, with door-to-door collection using five e-rickshaws.
•
Wet waste is processed into organic fertilizer, while dry waste like plastic and bottles is separated, stored, and periodically auctioned.
•
This initiative generates additional income for the Nagar Panchayat, which is then invested in local development works.
•
Executive Officer Bharat Singh states the MRF Center reduces filth, disease risk, and serves as a model for cleanliness and economic strength.
