Bagdogra Police Seize Drugs Worth Rs 2 Crore, Arrest Two in Night Naka Checking
•Police in Bagdogra, Darjeeling, seized drugs worth approximately 2 crore rupees during a night-time naka checking.
•Two individuals, Tanmoy Barman and Biswajit Barman, were arrested from Panighata More while attempting to smuggle the drugs on a bike.
•The arrests occurred as the election code of conduct came into force, leading to increased vigilance on national highways.
•Approximately 2 kg 93 grams of drugs were recovered from the suspects, who were traveling from Panitanki towards Siliguri.
•The arrested individuals will be produced before the Siliguri Sub-divisional Court, and an investigation is underway to trace the origin and destination of the drugs.
