EPF Withdrawals via UPI: Instant Access to Funds Coming Soon

EPFO to introduce UPI-based withdrawals for its members, allowing direct credit to bank accounts.
•
New service expected to launch in April after technical testing with dummy accounts.
•
Members can withdraw up to 75% of their EPF balance instantly for reasons like illness, education, marriage, or housing.
•
Withdrawals will require UPI PIN verification, significantly speeding up the current 3-day auto-settlement process.
•
The facility will be linked with the UAN portal and UMANG app, also allowing members to view their EPF passbook balance.
