NSE Launches 10-Gram Gold Futures: Key Details for Investors

•NSE to introduce 10-gram Gold Futures contracts (GOLD10G) from March 16, 2026, after SEBI approval.
•This smaller contract size aims to boost participation from retail investors and jewelers in the gold derivatives market.
•Trading will occur Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 11:30 PM/11:55 PM, with a tick size of 1 rupee per 10 grams.
•Contracts are compulsory delivery, with delivery units of 10 grams of 999 purity gold at Ahmedabad.
•Initial daily price limit is 6%, extendable to 9%, with volatility-based and 1% extreme loss margins.
