Switzerland is the leading source, supplying gold worth Rs 1,77,767 crore between 2024-2026.
•
The United Arab Emirates ranks second, with imports totaling Rs 1.46 lakh crore in the same period.
•
South Africa, a country with significant gold deposits, is the third largest supplier, exporting Rs 57,000 crore worth of gold to India.
•
Peru and Australia complete the top five, contributing Rs 38,000 crore and Rs 27,000 crore respectively.
