Jhunjhunu Becomes Power Hub: 2.7 Crore Units Monthly Production, 10% Consumption from Renewables

•Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan is rapidly expanding electricity generation from solar and biomass, becoming a power hub.
•The district produces 2.7 crore units of electricity monthly from alternative sources, meeting 10% of its total consumption.
•KUSUM scheme and PM Surya Ghar Yojana contribute 1.6 crore units, while biomass plants generate 1.1 crore units, reducing reliance on traditional energy.
•45 KUSUM plants (67.72 MW) benefit 6300 farmers with daytime irrigation electricity, resolving night irrigation issues.
•Jhunjhunu ranks third in Rajasthan for KUSUM-A scheme installations, improving electricity supply and reducing carbon emissions.
