CCPA issues notices to 6 e-commerce firms over illegal sale of drone jammers

•CCPA issued notices to M/S Everse, Indiamart, Xboom, Javiat Aerospace, M/s AirONE Robotics, and Maveric Drones & Technologies Pvt Ltd.
•Notices issued for online listing and sale of restricted wireless transmitting devices like anti-drone systems and GPS jammers.
•Devices were listed without disclosing mandatory licensing requirements, ETA, or WPC certification details.
•CCPA observed that listings did not state that civilian possession and use without authorization are prohibited, misleading consumers.
•Sale of such equipment is strictly regulated under Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, and Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933.
