CCPA issues notices to 6 e-commerce firms over illegal sale of drone jammers

CCPA issued notices to M/S Everse, Indiamart, Xboom, Javiat Aerospace, M/s AirONE Robotics, and Maveric Drones & Technologies Pvt Ltd.
•
Notices issued for online listing and sale of restricted wireless transmitting devices like anti-drone systems and GPS jammers.
•
Devices were listed without disclosing mandatory licensing requirements, ETA, or WPC certification details.
•
CCPA observed that listings did not state that civilian possession and use without authorization are prohibited, misleading consumers.
•
Sale of such equipment is strictly regulated under Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, and Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933.
