Pakistani Claims Iran Forced Him to Plot Trump, Biden Assassinations

Pakistani citizen Asif Merchant (47) claims Iranian intelligence forced him into a plot to assassinate prominent US political leaders.
•
Merchant alleges an IRGC handler, Mehrdad Yusuf, sent him to America in April 2024 with targets including Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Nikki Haley.
•
He assisted Iranian intelligence since 2022/2023 with money laundering and was later tasked with assassinations and stealing documents.
•
Merchant stated in court his family was threatened in Pakistan and Iran, leaving him no option but to comply.
•
FBI surveillance in June 2024 showed Merchant discussing the plot, receiving $5,000 advance for a Republican leader's assassination.
