US Deploys Two Aircraft Carriers, Warships to Middle East Amid Tensions
•The US Navy has deployed a significant naval presence to the Middle East, including two aircraft carrier strike groups and multiple guided-missile destroyers.
•The USS Abraham Lincoln, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier with over 65 aircraft and 5,700 crew, is central to the deployment, accompanied by guided-missile destroyers USS Michael Murphy, USS Spruance, and USS Frank E. Petersen Jr.
•The USS Gerald R. Ford, another nuclear-powered carrier with over 75 aircraft and 4,550 crew, is also in or heading to the region, escorted by USS Bainbridge, USS Mahan, and USS Winston S. Churchill.
•Additional guided-missile destroyers and littoral combat ships like USS Canberra, USS Santa Barbara, and USS Tulsa have also been deployed.
