Daikin India to boost AC production to 40 lakh units by 2030, new plant in Andhra Pradesh

Daikin India aims to increase its annual room AC manufacturing capacity from 30 lakh to 40 lakh units by 2030.
•
A new, fourth plant will be set up at Sri City SEZ in Andhra Pradesh to achieve this expansion.
•
The proposed plant in Tirupati district, spread across 112 acres, is expected to be ready within two years.
•
Currently, Daikin manufactures room ACs at one factory in Sri City and two facilities in Neemrana, Rajasthan, totaling 30 lakh units annually.
•
The Indian room AC market is 1.40 crore units annually, with only 10% of the population currently using ACs, indicating significant growth potential.
