Delhi Tribunal Awards Rs 1.21 Cr to Woman Who Lost Leg in 2016 Accident

A Delhi Motor Accident Claims Tribunal awarded over Rs 1.21 crore as compensation to Renuka Bisht.
•
Renuka Bisht, a resident of Narela, Delhi, suffered amputation of her left leg after a road accident on March 8, 2016.
•
The accident occurred when a motorcycle, allegedly driven rashly and negligently, hit her two-wheeler.
•
She sustained grievous injuries, leading to 75% permanent disability due to the amputation of her left leg at the knee joint.
•
Presiding Officer Richa Manchanda directed the motorcycle's insurer to deposit the awarded amount within 30 days.
