Election Monitoring Committee Seizes Rs 2.37 Crore Cash in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu CEO Archana Patnaik announced the seizure of Rs 2.37 crore in cash by election expenditure monitoring authorities.
•
In addition to cash, precious metals and other articles were also confiscated.
•
Items suspected for voter distribution, valued at Rs 20.80 crore, and precious metals worth Rs 16.42 crore were seized.
•
Authorities also confiscated Rs 18 lakh worth of liquor and Rs 2.88 crore worth of other drugs.
•
The total value of seizures as of March 18 reached Rs 42.65 crore, as surveillance intensifies to curb illicit distribution.
