Karnataka Seeks Rs 3,052 Cr for Irrigation Projects, Centre Responds Positively

Karnataka government seeks early approval for irrigation projects worth Rs 3,052 crore under central schemes.
•
Proposals submitted under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) schemes.
•
State has committed 40% of funding; remaining 60% expected from the Centre.
•
Minister N S Boseraju met Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti V Somanna for expedited clearances.
•
Discussions also held with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu on Raichur airport and Kalaburagi flight revival.
