MGNREGA: Over Rs 81,500 crore released to states, UTs; West Bengal dues pending

•Over Rs 81,500 crore released to states and UTs under MGNREGS in the current fiscal year, with wage payments made via direct transfer.
•As of March 11, 2026, total pending liabilities across states were Rs 18,862 crore, including wages, material, and administrative components.
•All due and admissible pending wage liabilities up to FY 2024-25 have been cleared, except for West Bengal.
•Funds to West Bengal under MGNREGS stopped since March 9, 2022, due to non-compliance with central government directives.
•West Bengal's pending liability is Rs 3082.52 crore as per NREGASoft, while TMC claims total dues of Rs 51,700 crore.
