Nadda: Over Rs 500 Crore Released to Punjab for Health in FY 2025-26
•Union Health Minister J P Nadda announced Rs 572.66 crore released to Punjab for the 2025-26 fiscal under the National Health Mission (NHM).
•Funds are allocated for upgrading sub-health and primary health centres, delivering 12 packages of basic healthcare services.
•Services include reproductive and child health, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) screening, mental health, and trauma care.
•Government initiatives like Janani Suraksha Yojana, Anemia Mukt Bharat, and Universal Immunization Programme aim to improve maternal and child health.
•Various programs such as National Tuberculosis Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases are in operation.
