President Murmu Visits Manipal Tata Medical College, Boosts Medical Education in Jharkhand
•President Droupadi Murmu visited Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur, highlighting its role in advancing medical education and healthcare in Jharkhand.
•The visit included a warm welcome by dignitaries, a group photograph, and a MIYAZAKI MANGO sapling plantation.
•MTMC, established in 2019, is India's first Private-Private Consortium model medical college, with Tata Steel Ltd. providing Tata Main Hospital as its teaching facility.
•The first batch of 150 MBBS students, who commenced in 2020-21, is set to graduate in March 2026.
•President Murmu lauded the Manipal Group's legacy and praised student Purnima Hembram's dedication as a role model for aspiring doctors.
