Stalin unveils TN's first super critical thermal power unit, multiple infra projects
•CM M K Stalin inaugurated the first unit of a 2x660 MW Super Critical Thermal Power plant in Udangudi, Tuticorin, built at Rs 13,077 crore.
•The plant, by Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Ltd, is 6% more efficient, reduces fuel costs, and has a quicker start-up time.
•It features a unique offshore captive port for environmentally friendly coal transport via 9km enclosed conveyor belts.
•Stalin also launched 11 road projects worth Rs 1,843.85 crore across Salem, Namakkal, Coimbatore, Tiruvannamalai, Tiruppur, and Tiruvarur districts.
•Additionally, Municipal Administration and Water Supply projects totaling Rs 265.66 crore were inaugurated, including 45 completed projects and foundation for 9 new ones.
