Two Get Life Term for Fruit Seller's Murder Over Unpaid Loan in Thane

Two men, Sunilkumar Bituli Rajak and Sudipkumar Raju Ravidas, sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2017 murder of a fruit seller in Mira Road.
•
The victim, Shamu Lohari Gaud, was shot at his residence over an unpaid loan of over Rs 1.5 lakh.
•
Additional Sessions Judge D S Deshmukh also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on the convicted duo.
•
Rajak received an additional three years of rigorous imprisonment and a Rs 10,000 fine under the Arms Act.
•
Two other accused, Umesh Raju Ravidas and Ashishkumar Tilak Bhuiya, were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
