Pune Police Officer Caught Demanding Bribe at Bund Garden PS; Superiors Implicated

•Police Sub-Inspector Sandeep Khedkar of Bund Garden Police Station, Pune, booked by ACB for demanding a 2 lakh rupee bribe.
•Khedkar sought the bribe to prevent filing a fraud case against a complainant.
•The complainant approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on February 3 after the demand.
•During verification, Khedkar initially demanded 2 lakh, then settled for 1 lakh, claiming the money was also for 'superiors'.
•ACB registered a case against Khedkar and is investigating further involvement of other officials.
