•Divisional Commissioner ordered transfer of 20 hectares (50 acres) of land in Hotgi to MIDC for the project.
•Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore announced the land transfer, fulfilling CM Devendra Fadnavis's promise.
•The IT park aims to boost Solapur's information technology sector and create local employment opportunities.
•Discussions are also underway for concessions to Solapur's textile industry and completion of other infrastructure projects.
