Delhi offers ₹1 lakh for new EV, waives road tax and registration fees
•Delhi government introduces new scheme to encourage EV adoption and combat pollution.
•Buyers of new electric vehicles will receive cash incentives, road tax, and registration fee exemptions.
•Incentives are available for scrapping BS-IV or older vehicles registered in Delhi and purchasing a new EV within six months.
•Specific incentives: ₹10,000 for electric two-wheelers, ₹25,000 for L5M three-wheelers, and up to ₹1 lakh for electric cars (first 1 lakh applicants, cars up to ₹15 lakh).
•100% exemption on road tax and registration fees for all Delhi-registered EVs until March 31, 2030, including cars up to ₹30 lakh.
