GIFT City Metro Expansion Approved: 1067 Crore Project to Boost Connectivity

•Union Cabinet approves 1067 crore metro extension from GIFT City to Shahpur, Ahmedabad.
•New 3.33-kilometer corridor with three elevated stations to be completed in four years.
•Project to benefit 23,702 daily passengers by 2029, increasing to 58,059 by 2041.
•Directly benefits multinational companies, educational institutions, and commercial centers in GIFT City.
•Expected to create 1,000 direct jobs during construction and 250 for operation and maintenance.
