Families in Bengal worried as communication with fishermen jailed in Pakistan cut off

Three Namkhana fishermen, Tapan Mahapatra, Kashinath Mandal, and Dilip Bag, have been imprisoned in Pakistan for two and a half years.
•
Families in Bengal are anxious as all communication, including phone calls and letters, has ceased.
•
The fishermen were detained by the Pakistan Coast Guard while fishing in a trawler off Gujarat.
•
Previously, they had occasional contact and Tapan Mahapatra even sent letters from Landhi Jail in Karachi.
•
Mathurapur MP Bapi Halder has assured that he will inform authorities to arrange for their swift return.
