SBI Implements New IMPS Charges from Feb 15: What You Need to Know
- •State Bank of India (SBI) is introducing new service charges for online IMPS money transfers starting February 15.
- •Online IMPS transfers up to Rs 25,000 will remain free via internet banking, mobile banking, and YONO app.
- •Charges will apply for online IMPS transactions exceeding Rs 25,000, ranging from Rs 2 to Rs 10 plus GST, depending on the amount.
- •IMPS charges for transactions conducted through bank branches remain unchanged, ranging from Rs 2 to Rs 20 plus GST.
- •Certain account holders, including salary and special savings accounts (DSP, PMSP, ICSP, CGSP, PSP, RSP), Shaurya Family Pension Account, and SBI Rishtey Family Savings Account, are exempt from these new charges.
Why It Matters: SBI introduces new charges for online IMPS transfers above Rs 25,000, effective February 15.
