SBI Revises IMPS Charges: Higher Fees for Online Transfers from Feb 15
- •State Bank of India (SBI) will implement revised service charges for online IMPS money transfers starting February 15.
- •Online IMPS transfers up to ₹25,000 will remain free via internet banking, mobile banking, and the YONO app.
- •Transactions between ₹25,000 and ₹1 lakh will incur a ₹2 plus GST charge; ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh will be ₹6 plus GST; and ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh will be ₹10 plus GST.
- •Charges for IMPS transactions at SBI branches will remain unchanged, ranging from ₹2 to ₹20 plus GST.
- •Certain salary and special savings account holders, including DSP, PMSP, and Shaurya Family Pension Accounts, are exempt from the new charges.
Why It Matters: SBI is introducing new charges for online IMPS transfers above ₹25,000, effective February 15.
