•India is set to host a multitude of major international sporting events, showcasing its ambition to become a sporting superpower.
•New Delhi will host the 2026 BWF World Championships in August.
•Ahmedabad is slated to host the 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships starting April 1st and the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
•The Kalinga Stadium in Odisha will hold the 2028 World Indoor Athletics Championships.
•India will also host the 2029 ICC Champions Trophy and co-host the 2031 ICC ODI World Cup with Bangladesh, while eyeing the 2036 Summer Olympics.
