Delhi Govt Extends Existing Excise Policy for Hotels, Clubs by 1 Year
•
Delhi government extends current excise policy for hotels, clubs, and restaurants (HCRs) for the financial year 2026-27.
•
The extension is due to a new excise policy yet to be finalized.
•
Licences for HCR and Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (M&TP) will be renewed under the same terms as 2025-26.
•
The excise department increased licence fees by 10% for specific HCR categories (L-17/L-17F, L-18/L-18F, L-19/L-19F and L 20/L-20F).
•
The existing policy has been in effect since 2023-24, after the 2021-22 policy allowing private retail liquor sales was scrapped.
