Gadag ASI Caught Red-Handed Taking Rs 10,000 Bribe to Close Petition

•An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Gadag was caught allegedly accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe.
•ASI C V Ingalhalli, posted at the town police station, demanded the bribe to close an anonymous petition.
•The petition was filed against the complainant's mother.
•Lokayukta police laid a trap following a complaint and nabbed the accused.
•The accused government officer was caught receiving the bribe at the town police station; further investigation is underway.
