Hormuz Crisis: Two More Indian Oil Tankers Safely Reach India

Jag Laadki (81,000 tonnes Murban crude) and Nanda Devi (46,000 tonnes LPG) are scheduled to reach Mundra and Kandla ports respectively on Tuesday.
•
Jag Laadki, with 22 Indian seafarers, was among 28 ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz; it loaded crude during the Fujairah oil terminal attack.
•
Another Indian-flagged tanker, Shivalik, arrived at Mundra on Monday; Jag Prakash also crossed the conflict-hit strait on Friday.
•
India relies heavily on imports (88% crude, 50% natural gas, 60% LPG), with supplies from West Asian countries disrupted by the conflict.
•
While crude shortages are partly offset by sourcing from Russia, gas and LPG supplies for commercial users have been reduced.
