BESCOM to establish advanced cyber security center amid rising digital threats
•Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company Ltd (BESCOM) is setting up a dedicated Cyber Security Operations Centre (C-SOC) to protect its critical infrastructure.
•The C-SOC, equipped with AI and machine learning tools, will be established at BESCOM’s head office in Bengaluru’s KR Circle.
•The project has an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore, covering initial setup, maintenance, and manpower.
•It will monitor various cyber threats, including malware, unauthorized access, and DoS attacks, across IT and OT systems.
•The center will feature a layered security architecture with AI/ML-driven analytics and real-time log analysis from diverse sources.
